Specific services may be obtained on an "as needed" basis for an affordable hourly rate or as part of a contractual Third Party Administration agreement.
There are several areas in which the Loss Control Consultant (LCC) may offer assistance in helping you control your loss experience and in achieving a safer workplace. HWCF Services can partner with you to evaluate your current safety program and assist in enhancing these practices. Some of the more requested Loss Control services are:
- Safety Systems Evaluations - These evaluations are a great way to have "another pair of eyes" look at your existing safety program. This evaluation covers 23 areas of focus within your business. This service is available to hospitals, clinics, physician offices and most healthcare organizations. The results are returned along with any recommendations following the initial visit.
- OSHA Training Courses - The Loss Control Consultant for HWCF Services is an OSHA Authorized General Industry Trainer. Many businesses require their staff to complete the OSHA 10-hour training course that covers the basics of the safety process. The OSHA 30-hour training course is primarily targeted at supervisory personnel and gives the students a more in-depth understanding of the safety process and OSHA regulations.
- Defensive Driving Courses - Possibly, the most requested course offered is The National Safety Council's Defensive Driving. This is not a "how to" course; rather, it is a course on driving to save lives, time and money. Many participants find that their personal auto insurance carrier will offer a discount with proof of completion. Your organization may find that this benefit applies to your company owned vehicles.
- Ergonomic Assessments - The potential for ergonomic injuries may be found in work areas or offices within your company. The LCC will complete an ergonomic assessment and report any potential hazards
